It Rained On Our Parade, But That Didn't Stop Us

Rather than put the top up when it sprinkled...I opened an umbrella. This was rather surreal!

As we drove to the South Valley where the parade is held, there were black clouds looming. We got into the staging area, set the bride and groom on the back of the VW convertible and the rain started. So I put up the top, but left the bride and groom out, as there was nowhere to bring them under cover. The wind blew with gusts up to 20 mph! That proved to be difficult in keeping the sombreros on. As you can see in the photo, our mariachi man's sombrero was blowing in the wind. Bob and I had elastic on the hats, and wire on some.
We had 2 skeleton dogs on the float...they were a hit!

Bob kept his little dog moving during the parade, and the kids just loved it!

Part 2 tomorrow. I am still getting pictures from people to post. Thanks Daniel for all your great shots.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to Kelley.

Each day is a gift, open now.
