Day 275
Dr. Patricia Mazzolini, DVM shares her stethoscope with Sam. "Toffee" the vet tech's dog poses for us. Thanks to you all for being such good sports.
Our long time veterinarian retired, and we had been searching for a new one. Now that we have chickens and ducks...it was important that we found one with farm animal knowledge too. We are thrilled with Dr. Patricia Mazzolini, DVM at the Rio Bravo Veterinary Hospital.
She first saw a chicken that was paralyzed for unknown reasons. Then she fixed Bob's duck "Matilda" who had an upper respiratory infection. When I saw her flush the ducks nostrils with a syringe, and then she showed me how to do it at home, I knew she was the Vet for us. She gave our dog "Buddy" a treat after his last exam. Which all vets should do. Dogs remember positive reinforcers. Her office is very far from our home, but well worth the drive!
Each day is a gift, open now.
