365 All Over Again

From Arenys de Mar the Mediterranean in the distance.

On July 1st I started another 365 project. This time I picked an object to carry around a bit smaller than a life size skeleton. Something very close to my heart. Bob's dragon logo that we had made via water jet cutting into a a tool a few months ago. I had some cut out of copper and bronze for jewelry and key chains. I wear the copper one around my neck all the time now.  I can pop it off and take a photo with my cell phone. Cell phones have improved since I did the Sam project.  I hope it will be more spontaneous. I also have a stainless steel non jewelry version for opening bottles around the world.  Here we go!!

Sam was a bit put out, and felt she had been pushed aside for a dragon. I reminded her that she was in Spain for 4 weeks, and had her toes in the sand on one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. She offered to buy me a beer, and open it with the dragon.  Hehe. Day 27 Sam Is Back

Day 27

Sam is back!!  She flew in last night from Denver to Albuquerque.  No explanation from Southwest Airlines. They delivered her today.  When I opened her box, the styrofoam clam shell had big chunks missing.  I think TSA thought there was something in there and stabbed at it.  She is more or less okay.  Both her arms were removed, but can be put back.  All pieces are there. She looked a bit like the Scarecrow in a heap. It must have been traumatic.  However, she never stopped smiling. 

I am so happy to have her back!!!!

Day 22: Sam 365 Project

Sam loved riding the double decker bus through Roma!  She waved, people
waved back, took photos, and generally enjoyed seeing a skeleton riding a
tour bus. I just wish our German friends who were with us last year could
have been there this year.

Day 18 Sam 365 Project

Day 18

Sam got lots of attention at the New York Custom Knife Show, and gifts!  In this photo are Virginia Lee Miller (from NH) and Cheryl (from London) who brought Sam a crystal skull of vodka.  Sam is wearing a pink hat, another gift given by Tom Krein a knife maker from Arkansas.

We are off to Rome tonight. So there may be 2 photos posted next, as I won't have internet until we are at the apartment.

Sam is all boxed up, at them moment she is with our baggage in the plane. 
Delighted to have wifi on the plane: 30,000 feet in the air, going 600 miles an hour,

Day 11 Sam 365 Skeleton Project

Day 11

Sam's 3 teeth kept falling out of her mouth. She is a medical model, and designed to have them removed for teaching.  Her first plane ride shook them loose.  So we are getting ready for her big trip to NYC and Italy. She was a bit nervous. Natalie, Dr Gallagher's tech glued them in.
