Day 270
Last week I shot some Halloween photos of Sam's 3 new friends for October publications. I borrowed a ton of Halloween decorations from my neighbor. Pulled some things from my stash to create a front door Halloween scene. My sweet neighbor's kids came dressed to my door in costume for trick and treating (it was 95 degrees when they came!).
Typical New Mexico weather brought a brief wind storm that blew decorations all over the place. I wanted night shots, and only was able to get one. Sam loved dressing up, as she always does. I was setting up this shot in the dark. Our dog sat on the front porch watching me hang the 3 skellies in a tree in our front yard. I brought one of my photo lights out on it's tripod stand. Grabbed my tripod and camera and plugged in the photo light. I didn't realize there was a couple walking down the street. When the light turned on the 3 hanging skeletons it scared the you know what out of them! Loud gasps could be heard, and I could hear their pace quickening. They certainly were not expecting a spot light to turn on, and to see 3 skeletons hanging in a tree in mid August. Happy Halloween.
