Day 280 Vegas Baby!

Day 280

Sam is set for Vegas.  She's going with us for the Usual Suspects Gathering #5.  She loves her knife people!

As this adventure unfolds, I am seeing Sam develop as a character would in a good novel.  She's been dressed up in may ways.  This look, with the strawberry wig and the skull jacket seems to fit her well.  I wonder if she was a showgirl at some time.  She sure has a flair for the dramatic!

I will try and post when we are there, but if not...we'll see you when we get back!

Each day is a gift, open now.

Name that skeleton!!

So it's time for a contest, which I don't do very often.  I need to name the 3 new skeletons I bought at Costco.  Although they are not anatomically incorrect, I feel they look like boys.  So I am looking for 3 boys names.  I will give a free 8-10 photo of your choice from SamieSam's shop on Etsy:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/SamieSam.  Or click on the boxes in the right hand corner to get to her shop.

 HOW TO ENTER:

1. Leave a comment below with a link from an item you like from  Sam's Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SamieSam copied and pasted into the comment.

 2. NAMES !! I will choose the 3 names, and give a signed photo to each name winner. You may enter more than once with a different name suggestion. If I choose more than one of your names, you get more than one photo!

3.  Contest ends August 30th at midnight mountain time.

Easy right?

Day 270 What, Halloween???

Day 270
Last week I shot some Halloween photos of Sam's 3 new friends for October publications.  I borrowed a ton of Halloween decorations from my neighbor. Pulled some things from my stash to create a front door Halloween scene. My sweet neighbor's kids came dressed to my door in costume for trick and treating (it was 95 degrees when they came!).

Typical New Mexico weather brought a brief wind storm that blew decorations all over the place.  I wanted night shots, and only was able to get one. Sam loved dressing up, as she always does. I was setting up this shot in the dark. Our dog sat on the front porch watching me hang the 3 skellies in a tree in our front yard.  I brought one of my photo lights out on it's tripod stand.  Grabbed my tripod and camera and plugged in the photo light.  I didn't realize there was a couple walking down the street. When the light turned on the 3 hanging skeletons it scared the you know what out of them!  Loud gasps could be heard, and I could hear their pace quickening. They certainly were not expecting a spot light to turn on, and to see 3 skeletons hanging in a tree in mid August.  Happy Halloween.

Day 263

Don't wait 'til it's too late !! James and Kelley, and Sam.

Sam paid a visit to the James Lundin Insurance Agency, a Farmers Insurance Agency in Denver Colorado.  She holds information about life insurance.  They have a beautiful office, and played along so well with Sam.  Thanks Kelley and James for letting Sam visit!
