Day 178 Never Forget

Day 178

Sam II stands in front of the Holocaust Memorial.  It takes up a square block.  Hundreds (maybe more) of cement squares representing those who died. The ground is pitched, so that when you walk into the center, the squares get taller and taller.  Eventually they are over your head. At this point I became overwhelmed with grief and sadness. It was a week ago I was there, and I can still see and feel the power of this interactive sculpture.

Day 133 A Currier and Ives Painting

We stayed with our friends in their beautiful cape cod home.  It was so hard to get a good picture of Sammie in the snow.  Can you see her?

Leaning against the house, Sam refused to put her toes in the snow.  :-)

Day 131 Sally And The Party Van

Day 131

Our day in Manhattan couldn't have been possible without our Party Van driver, Sally.  We met her last November, and she is our ride when we come to NY and NJ.  Her van has colored lights inside, music, and Sally at the wheel.  She was able to weave in and out of NYC with ease.  She would point to landmarks, and I called her "my director" by the end of our day.

Day 78 Las Vegas

Day 78

Sam holds one of Bob Terzuola's knives that is off to Las Vegas today.  A new type of carbon fiber and blackened zirconium bolster.  See the point on the handle...it's a skull crusher also out of zirconium.  Sam says we are zombie proof in our house with her around.  But just in case you don't have a skeleton, then a "Zombie Spike" might come in handy.
